Hair tips and products?

i have thick hair but thin it alot. i think its cute to "crimp" my hair. but i am not sure how to. braiding it will not work. so i was going to buy a hair crimper kinda like a straightener. does anyone know where i can buy a really good one. (not one from target becasue they dont work) but a good one. i got my straightener at sallys. it does not matter on the price. thanks for your help

Awesome crimper by Hot Tools. It's good to have the option to change your heat setting to fit your hair's needs. Use a thermal protecting spray. Sally's carries a number of them. My favorites are CHI 44 Iron Guard Thermal Protection Spray and Paul Mitchell Seal and Shine Heat Protection, both should be available at your local salon.
