I want to dye my hair and I dont want to bleach, but my hair is black so I have to. If i dye the tips of my hair , or if it just doesn't touch the top of my head(roots) would it be damage is alot still?

i am naturally a dark brunette and any time i ever went really light it really damaged my hair...but your only do tips so that is OK......but yes stripping your coloring will do some frying....but i vote "go for it" have fun with yourself.....we only live once you know?

Yes, bleaching hair in general means you are stripping it of its natural color and protective layers. if your hair is long enough i would suggest dying the ends higher up than usual and follow it with a hair trim - ask the hairdresser to only trim the ends so your new hair growth won't turn into split ends. you should also buy a moisturizing treatment to treat your tips once a week.

Ok If your hair is almost black you will need to use bleach or your hair is going to turn dark orange,Bleaching dose strip hair,but if you take care of your hair after the process ,It will be fine!Use bleach with 20 volume developer,20 min.Use conditioner after.
