So my hair is like medium-ish thick and its curly but the frizzy kind of curls. I got it relaxed on August 4, 2007 and got it dyed back to my original color a month later by the same place. The first week I could straighten my hair without all the products i usually use and it stayed straight. I cant use a lot of products on my hair because I have very oily hair and it'd look like I havent washed it in years, even if I washed it that morning.
I was wondering if anyone knew the name to any light products that I could use to keep my hair very straight and unfrizzy? and if theres a certain type of hair straightener thats better than the others? I have one called the GVP and its supposibly, "as good as the chi -but half the cost" I have never tried any other straightener and I cant get my hair chemically straightened because my hair salon said my hair would fall out.
so if any of you have ideas, products, anything else you want to share - please tell me!!

Any hair tips or advice?
Always massage your scalp with good oil as this will make hair strong. Massage at least one time in a week.
Shampoo hair regularly. Oily hair look oily upon waking and generally must be washed every day or every other day.
Diet and Nutrition for hair care: Fresh fruits and vegetables which contain proteins should be taken in good amount and try to avoid fried and starchy foods.
Apply a deep conditioning treatment before shampooing dry hair.
Use of excessive hair products can damage your hair. Always keep a blow dryer at least 6 inches away from your hair.
The right conditioner can keep hair moisturized and tangle free. Choose one that suits your hair type.
Haircare should be considered when you are coloring your hair using hair color products that won't harm your scalp or damage your hair.
Regular massage of fresh amla mashed to a paste will do wonders. The application of this paste will improve the colour of hair (delay the process of greying), prevent your hair from falling and has a cooling effect on the entire system.
