hey, im 13, i have blonde curly hair... and i want to dye it dark brown and straighten it..whenever i try to straighten my hair, 10-20 min later it puffs out, especially by my ears. i have longg hair. Any tips? thanks so muchh

use a good straightener. and i used to have the same hair as you. except it was brown, and was naturally straight. so yeah, all i can say is straighten it a lot, and the ear thing really really bothered me too. blow dryer too... dont forget that

get a good straigtener like CHI or conair. and put in some hairspray and anti frizz! i straighten my hair every day. lol

you have to use a good straightener, some people say remington ones are good but i like the ghd, or chi just find a thin straightener, use heat protection oil on ur hair and take small sections of ur hair aat a time, then when ur done put gloss drops in it , it will look good:)

though it sounds feminine you should use herbal essences dangerously straight shampoo, then straighten it using a nice straightner, and then use herbal essences dangerously straight hair spray.

If you can buy a flat iron I highly recommend the CHI, it smooths out hair in no time and keeps it that way the whole day, I love it. Also, look in the hair product isle and see what you can get for frizzies and straightening and sleek serums, they are used on damp hair after you get out of the shower and before you dry your hair.

Well do you wash your hair right before you straighten it?

if you do then that;s why it poofs out,

don't blow dry your hair either. just let it natrually dry,

then straighten it.

and use conditioner that says for straighter hair, or something :]

You are a guy. Why are you straightening your hair? If you dont like the way it looks curly shave it off. Come on be a man. A hairstyle that takes more then 30 seconds is to much work.

Ok this is what my brother did. he also has curley hair. First he got a perm and it made his hair strait. then he dyed it black. if you follow that process it will be strait and you dont have to buy straiting spray or anything and it looks so great and natural. this is a 10/10 answer and it wont let you down i promise

Or you could blow-dry it straight.
