My hair is really thick and natually straight. Whenever I try and curl it (I've tried hairspray) the curls fall out within a half hour. Any tips or products that will do the trick??
Any tips to curling hair if you have hair that is thick and does not curl easily?
Hairspray is good, but contouring spray is better. Physique makes a great one. Wash and towel dry your hair. Work a handful of extra hold mousse through and then dry it. When you're ready to curl, spray it with the contouring spray and use a curling iron. Gently take the curl off the iron and let it cool before attempting to run your fingers through and style. When it's all said and done, spray with a liberal amount of super-hold hairspray. Avoid the temptation to play with your hair. It will only encourage it to relax.
