I need hair curling tips and pics.?

I want to curl my own hair for homecoming but I need tips. I know how to curl it but i need to do something else with it like clip some of it back or something. More importantly I need pics of ideas. I want to keep it all down....or atleast half up and half down. Thanks

Hi! I did my own hair for my god daughter's wedding and had so many compliments, it was unreal! Everyone thought I had went to the salon. I love butterfly clips and I am not ashamed to say I am 46 years old and still do my hair this way! I just love it!

Wash your hair and condition it. I use the Pantene because I have naturally curly hair. Before it is dried, put in your styling gel (sounds stupid, but it works) set your blow dryer on low and dry your hair, be careful not to fuzz your hair up. You want to section your hair up because this is the way you are curling it, if you want it up or down. Clip the main top of your hair up and start curling your bottom half of your hair, curl everything your can curl. Then unclip HALF of the top part of your hair you have clipped and curl all of that, unclip the remaining hair and curl that part. Use a good holding hair spray on each strand before you use the curling iron, curl it and twist that strand and use the butterfly clips and clip it towards the middle of your head. Go in a circle around your head until you have done this to all of your hair. You pull it up as if you are going to make a pony tail effect IF you are going to wear it all UP, IF you are going to put HALF UP and HALF down, separate from your EARS across. Take a butterfly clip or whatever type of clip is your favorite type and clip your hair from underneath the hair to hold it up. It may take more than one clip to hold each strand so don't make the strands too thick. Buy a lot of clips! You will/may need more than what you think! You can alternate the twists with loose curls. Make some long twists along your neck line, whips of hair and along your face line to soften edges.

When my God Daughter saw my hair, she wished she had of had me do the other girls hair too. They paid way too much for a poor job on the other girls hair that didn't even stay up during the ceremony.
