Because its broken and dead... go to your hairdresser and ask them just to get rid of the unhealthy parts and you will see a big differnce in your hair condition

When is the last time you had your hair trimmed??? You should at least get it trimmed every 8 wks. growing it out or not just to close the ends off. If you dont then it will break off, just not at the ends but up your hair shaft. Get it trimmed and use Redken Cat protein spray to make it strong.

Your flat iron is too hot. Lower the temp a little, use a product specifically for flat ironing your hair. Then, after you straighten your hair, use a leave-in conditioner on the ends. That oughta do it!
