Bad hair cut! Any tips to help?

i got a kinda good haircut, it wasnt pretty pretty, It was like a inch above my collar bone, but i thought of just taking a inch off, THAT WAS A STUPID IDEA! i got the scissors and just put my hair in a ponytail and just sniped a inch, and than BOOM! the back of my hair was resting on my neck! I was so SAD! i told my mom(im 13) and she got mad, than were goign to the salon to get it cut up to my neck to get the length, like the one Hilaire Burton hairstyle, but im not getting that hair cut till summer so my hair will grow a bit longer, ANY tips to hid the bad haircut??

For now, all you can really do is keep your hair in a pony tail or wear hats. As it is summer you can pretend you are protecting your skin and hair from the sun's damaging rays, lol...

You are young so you can get away with funky hairstyles during the summer, you can get some highlights and spikey or fashionably messy hair done with hairjel.

Also have fun with it while it grows out, it is summer so you can wear a variety of very cool and hip hats, use scarves, bandannas in your hair, you can even do different variety of pigtails. It is fun,youthful and even sexy.

You can try a ponytail clip on. You can find inexpensive ones at places like Sally's, Beauty Co or any beauty supply store. You can also use coverups such as cute baseball type hats. Try bringing the focus to your face rather than your hair. Wear a head band or a scarf wrapped like a head ban. There are lots of cute styles you can wear

yeah, put your hair in a dirty bun or pigtails. What you want to do is put olive oil in your hair to make it grow faster.

The only way you can hide a bad haircut is by styling the hair so that it doesnt show. Ponytails, buns, messy buns... stuff that like should hide it pretty good. I think thats all you really can do. And holding your hair in the ponytail and cutting off an inch wont even make all your hair even, so when you think its gonna be good and its just gonna take off as much as you want and it will give you layers and stuff, not really. I dont know how other people cut their hair... I took cosmo and work at a salon and I wont even cut my own hair, I have a friend do it. Yeah so next time you want your hair alittle shorter I suggest a salon or find someone that knows how to cut hair and just ask them to do it. Just blunt cutting off an inch is nothing.

Or, I know a girl who has short hair, but gets really long braids added to her hair, so all her hair is braided, but you can put it up, or curl it, or do anything with them.Something like this would be okay, At department stores., you can buy the hair in all different colours for under 10 dollars, you could get two colours, like blonde and brown .

If you don't like those ideas , you can curl it, or put it in headbands, or a ponytail , or pigtails, you could straighten it, to make it look longer too. Good luck.
