* Thick and Coarse Hair: Use pomades they will not only make your hair shiny but will moisturize your hair as well.

Tips For Shiny Hair

* Use heat-activated shampoo

* Deep condition at least weekly

How to create hair volume?

1. Wash your hair;

2. Use a body-building shampoo and conditioner.

3. Don't apply conditioner directly to the scalp;

4. Bend at the waist,

5. Dry hair as you finger style it;

6. Use a dryer with a diffuser attachment;

7. When your hair is half dry, add gel or mousse;

8. Rub the product from the ends of the hair to the roots;

9. You may apply wax into the roots to make them stand up;

10. Lift hair with a round brush or a large-toothed comb;

11. Continue drying. The hair must be dried completely;

12. Flip your head up;

13. Do not use too many styling products; they can weigh the hair down;

14. Add a little water to your hair during the day if it gets flat; lift and scrunch it;

15. Spritz your hair with a small bottle filled with water and a little bit of table salt;

16. Try a few highlights;

17. Don't let your hair get too long. Its own weight drags it down.

* Use Strawberry hair mask: mash eight strawberries with one-tablespoon mayonnaise. Massage this into washed but damp hair. Cover it with a shower cap and then a warm towel. Wash out with a shampoo and then condition. This mask will give your hair a rich gloss.

* For blonde hair use a few tablespoons of lemon juice to your rinse water. This will make your hair shiny.

* For shiny hair you can also mix one teaspoon of honey into 4 cups of warm water. After shampooing, pour the mixture through your hair, but do not rinse. Dry as normal.

Back-brushing builds hair volume

1. Lift sections of dry hair;

2. Gently brush the underside of the hair section toward your scalp;

3. To keep that style, finish with volumizing hair spray.

Dove shampoo and conditioners really work well! My hair was shiny and smooth and the good smell lasted a while, usually the smell goes away after i go to bed but dove didn't!

use egg white ......put this on for half an hour .......but make sure you shampoo properly later on.

Aussie has this stuff for hair, its an oil treatment (pink bottle)works great for shiny hair.

Also they have a 3 minute leave in conditioner (purple bottle) like 5 bucks but worth it after a couple days my hair was soft and shiney.

Just go to any drug store and go into the hair section then to the aussie products...you should find them both

Use mouse to prevent drying and hardening that is caused by gel. Put some lightly in the front, but work lightly from the back of the head. This will make it more even. Oftentimes people cake it on the front and it gets too tough there with nothing in the back.

I hate anything made by Dove b/c there just isn't enough substance. Both the shampoos and soap do not lather very well.
